Join Xerces Society's Ambassador Cindy Pencek for a talk that will introduce some of the native bees that call California home. Through photographs, you'll see their color, beauty, and unique qualities. Along with learning about native bee life cycles and behaviors, the talk will cover a few things you can do to support native bees and their habitat.

Meet the Speaker: Cindy Pencek is a community science member who joins in every bioblitz or insect survey possible, including 5 years of structured native bee surveys at Cabrillo National Monument and Torrey Pines. She's on the board of the California Native Bee Society, is a docent at Mission Trails Regional Park, and is an ambassador for the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.
