Western Monarch Count: In-Person Volunteer Training
Volunteer Opportunity Description: We're looking for volunteers who can commit a minimum of 12-15 hours during this coming fall and winter to take part in a community science effort to track overwintering western monarchs and their habitat. Volunteers attend 1 virtual training and 1 in-person training, follow survey protocol, and electronically submit data that will inform monarch conservation efforts.
Attendance at an in-person training is required for first-time volunteers!
Date/Time: Saturday, October 10th | 9am - 12pm
Location: Presidio Park (meet in Parking Lot)
What to Bring: Please bring sun protection (protective clothing, water, sunblock, hat), be prepared to walk, and bring binoculars if you have them.
