Demonstration Projects

 Through the Regional Forest and Fire Capacity (RFFC) program, we are working with regional partners to develop and implement a wide range of demonstration projects. Current projects include: 

  • A targeted effort to reduce the devastation of Gold Spotted Oak Borer (GSOB) with La Jolla Band of Luiseno Indians, Pala Band of Mission Indians, Jamul Indian Village, Rincon Luiseno Indians, Santa Ysabel Iipay Nation, Community of Oak Grove, and USFS
  • Forest management and environmental planning with Girl Scouts San Diego Imperial Chapter at Camp Winaka and Camp Whispering Pines, and Harrison Serenity Ranch
  • Native American Conservation Corps (NACC)
  • Indigenous-led forestry and fuels crew training program
