Board of Directors
The RCD is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors comprised of locally appointed officials who serve without pay. As public officials representing landowners and the general public, directors assume a leadership position within the District by providing direction in the community's natural resource programs.
Directors may be elected or appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. Due to the cost of elections, the RCD of Greater San Diego County chooses to have directors appointed.
Associate Directors are officially appointed by the Board as advisors to broaden the Board's range of expertise and to assist with programs. A district may recruit an unlimited number of Associate Directors. See the RCD Calendar of events for detailed information.
Board Meetings
The RCD Board of Directors hold regularly scheduled Board Meetings to conduct the business of the District. Meetings are open to the public and guests are always welcome. Currently, meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month.
