Scholarship Program

2008 RCD Conservation Scholarship

The RCD is offering these scholarships to encourage local students interested in conservation, agriculture, environmental science, natural resources, biology or natural sciences to obtain technical expertise and pursue careers in resource conservation or agriculture. This scholarship is reserved only for students residing in or attending school within the RCD of Greater San Diego County’s service area.

2008 California Special Districts Association Scholarship

The RCD is a member of the San Diego Chapter of the California Special Districts Association (CSDA). Special districts are the unsung heroes of local government, and here is your chance to learn more about their work. You’ll be surprised at how much they do, and the career opportunities within them.

The CSDA San Diego Chapter is sponsoring a minimum of five (5) $1000 scholarships for graduating high school students. Applications will be reviewed by the RCD, and one finalist will be sent forward to compete regionally for the five scholarships. Last year (2007), our finalist Rebecca Webb of Coronado High School won one of the scholarships!
